It's about a balanced diet and not banning any food.
- Don't make major changes in your diet - simple, small changes make all the difference.
- 5 a day doesn't always have to be fresh fruit and vegetables - frozen, tinned, dried or juiced - all of them count.
- Choose lean cuts of quality meat and trim off visible fat.
- Avoid adding extra salt - use fresh herbs, spices and olive oil for flavour.
- Don't forget to think about your lifestyle - 'energy in' needs to match 'energy out'.
