Cy-Burgers
KS 3/4 Food Technology
Cy-Burgers contains four activities:
- A beat the clock goldrun quiz on food safety
- An interactive tour of a virtual burger production plant based on a real McDonald's factory.
- A drag and drop activity to develop a HACCP system for making burgers in the classroom. This exercise contains 'risks' which teachers may consider should apply to more than one 'hazard' area. Limitations on screen space restrict the number of possibilities, but the activity is intended to stimulate discussion with students.
- A 'design a virtual burger' activity with realistic costs of ingredients, which can then be used as a practical classroom task.
